One of the most amazing things about Amazon is that they give third party sellers of all sizes access to their world class warehousing, shipping, and fulfillment services through the Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) program.
Amazon's FBA program is an extremely cost-effective way for business owners to scale their online retail business. Note the difference between cost-effective and free - FBA is cost-effective, not free.
So what are the costs of Amazon FBA? How Do You Simply Calculate Amazon FBA Fees?
Well, calculating Amazon Fees is actually pretty simple. Just follow these 6 steps to calculating Amazon Fees:
Step 1: Get your products ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number)
Step 2: Go the the Fulfillment by Amazon Revenue Calculator by Amazon
Step 3: Enter the current Buy Box price into the "Item Price" section under "Amazon Fulfillment"
Step 4: Enter your cost to ship your products to an Amazon FBA Warehouse into the "Ship To Amazon" section under "Amazon Fulfillment"
Step 5: Enter the price you are buying the product from your supplier into the "Cost of Product" section under "Amazon Fulfillment"
Step 6: Click "Calculate"
Now you will see your total Amazon Fees and profit for each product. It's that simple!
